President and CEO of IKCO, Javad Najmeddin, said that despite the global economic crisis the company was successful in producing, exporting, selling, and improving quality of its products as well.
He noted that the annual output increased by 16 percent, sales 23 percent, and exports 50 percent, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported on Sunday.
Najmeddin pointed out that IKCO exported 55,000 vehicles which constitute 7.5 percent of the company’s production.
IKCO deputy CEO for export affairs Amir-Abbas Hosseini had previously referred to Iraq, Syria, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, CIS countries, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, and Turkey as the main export destinations.
